Starbucks Hojicha Tea Jelly Frappuccino is an equally innovative beverage combining Hojicha, a type of Japanese roasted tea, with Starbucks own Tazo Earl Grey tea-infused jelly to give this beverage a one-of-a-kind taste and mouth feel never achieved before. The nutty and toasty flavors of Hojicha is flavorful yet refreshing due to the addition of the firm, bite-enticing Earl Grey jelly.

NEW Starbucks One Rockwell + PROMO

Located at One Rockwell, Rockwell Drive, Makati City, this new Starbucks store adapted a more modern concept design creating something different from the usual Starbucks stores we always see. The huge pillars inside, which initially posed major challenges in the design, were embraced by keeping their raw cement finish, and allowed small pockets of cozy and relaxing seating spaces that make customers feel as if they're in their own living room. The use of simple lines and finishes create a comfortable setting that provides a relaxing break from the fast-paced world outside.

The high ceiling along the perimeter was accentuated by local special pendant lights. Starbucks One Rockwell also have a variety of tables and chairs that the customers could choose from, which they could enjoy everyday from 6:30AM to 12MN.

Chicken Grape Almond Salad on Classic Ciabatta Bread - Php150
A delicious, crunchy, tart yet sweet ang tangy sandwich. Chicken, grapes, celery, roasted chopped almonds, sliced sundried tomatoes held together with lemon mayo sauce with hints of tarragon and sliced emmenthal cheese on crusty ciabatta bread. This sandwich is an interesting one because of the sweetness of the grapes and the crunchiness of the celery, which I like a lot.

Fish and Chips Wrap - Php150 This is not available at provincial stores of Starbucks. MUST TRY!
A warm tortilla stuffed with moist and juicy fish fillet (cream dory) and herbed potato wedges filled with dill mustard egg sauce. This wrap is a winner for me because of its rich taste and just the idea of having the fish and the chips in a wrap!

Cookie Crumble Cheesecake with Chips Ahoy - Php130
Definitely a cookie and cheesecake lover's treat! A rich, creamy and velvety cheesecake loaded with chunky, moist and chewy Chips Ahoy cookies and chocolate chips baked on assorted Chips Ahoy cookie crumbs.

Whoopie Pie - Php75

Starbucks: Something's Brewing...

With 40 years of experience in sourcing, roasting and blending only from the best sources of coffee, Starbucks, which as well all know it has been know for its dark roast, extends its spectrum with an entirely new coffee category that features a more subtle and approachable flavors, the Starbucks Blonde Roast.

Starbucks Blonde Roast has a shorter roast time, drawing out a premium, mellow and soft flavor. This coffee category offers 2 blends --- Starbucks Veranda Blend and Starbucks Willow Blend. The Veranda Blend comes in a soft cocoa and lightly toasted nut taste to it but the Willow blend has a citrus/lemon flavor.

Starbucks Launches New Breakfast Food Items

Last month, Starbucks Philippines launched their new set of Hot Lunch Sandwiches, which are continuously gaining favorites from the public Ultimate Grilled Cheese FTW! so if you have not tried any of the lunch sandwiches, you should because you would definitely fall in love. But for this month, on September 13, 2011 to be exact, they are introducing again another set of food selection but this time customers can enjoy their morning beverage with new breakfast items. Bloggers were invited to taste the new breakfast items at Starbucks' newly opened heritage concept store at J.P. Laurel Building located at Roxas Boulevard, Manila City.

FRENCH TOAST - PHP 85

It is the perfect start to your busy day - 2 slices of moist and buttery bread served with Maple flavored syrup. French toast is one of the “happy foods” that brings a smile to everyone’s face. Starbucks new vegetarian sandwich has everything you need for the day. A crusty warm artisan rye bread stuffed with a delicious blend of cheese, spinach, artichoke, mushrooms, garlic and onions. A vegetarian’s delight!

After tasting everything, my first choice is the Vigan Longanisa, Egg and Mozzarella on Whole Wheat Pandesal then the Spinach, Artichoke, Muchroom and Mozzarella on Rye Bread as my second and my third would be the Turkey & Chichen Ham, Egg White and Emmenthal on Whole Wheat but you should try all of their breakfast sandwiches because they're all so yummy! You should also try their French Toast, which goes perfectly with the Starbucks Anniversary Blend because the sweetness of the French Toast lessens the heaviness and the big flavor of the coffee. The big body of the coffee is actually due to the aging, for 3 to 5 years, done to the Indonesian beans used.

Starbucks Introduces New Hot Lunch Sandwiches

Starbucks Philippines is coming out with a new set of food selection on August 9, which means all the sandwiches that they are serving now that you crave for will no longer be available on the morning of August 9. Definitely I will be visiting Starbucks more often now just to buy and devour on my favorite sandwich, Chicken Buffalo Bleu Cheese YUM!,while I still can and of course paired with my favorite hancrafted drink of all time, Dark Mocha Frappuccino blended beverage.

We sampled the upcoming lunch sandwiches, and personally, I would vouch for the Ultimate Grilled Cheese but I am excited for all of the sandwiches to hit the Starbucks stores and for you to find your new favorite :)

Ultimate Grilled Cheese

A sinfully delicious gooey grilled cheese sandwich coupled with six types of cheeses - Gruyere, Emmenthal, Feta, Provolone, Mozzarella and cheddar with sliced of Hungarian sausage and subtly seasoned with roasted garlic and Italian herbed butter on bread. A classic ultimate comfort food.

Roasted Chicken Pesto and Shiitake Mushroom on Flat Bread

Tuna Melt on Rye Bread

(Available in Baguio, Boracay, Bacolod, Cebu, CDO, Davao, Iloilo and Naga only)

A juicy pairing of hearty healthy tuna salad and creamy melted cheese on a toasted Rye bread topped with oozing melted mozzarella then seasoned with Spanish paprika. Substantial and satisfying.


I'm so lucky I got the chance to taste all the sandwiches specially the Tuna Melt because the next time I want to have some Tuna Melt, I need to go to the nearest provincial branch which is Baguio!
