PHILIPPINE FASHION WEEK HOLIDAY 2011 | 45 PC A

45 PC A showcased the 45-piece collection of three (3) talented Filipino designers namely, Arnold Galang, Chris Diaz and Gerry Katigbak. Arnold Galang’s latest collection for Holiday 2011 is wonderfully reminiscent of the Tibetan people, whose culture highlights the preservation of religion and tradition. His repertoire focuses on the melding of various elements that ingeniously embody the authenticity of the Tibetan way of life.

Crafting pieces of rich and opulent texture and utilizing lush fabrics with touches elaborate detailing, ornamentation, decorations, and styling, Galang aptly captures the splendor and mysticism of this unique lifestyle and translates this to modern pieces that are fashionably attuned to the season’s key styles and looks.  I got the chance to take two (2) pictures of Chris Diaz' collection (see photos below) and after that my camera ran out of battery. Too bad for me because the pieces in the collection of Chriz Diaz and Gerry Katigbak were really great.
