With 40 years of experience in sourcing, roasting and blending only from the best sources of coffee, Starbucks, which as well all know it has been know for its dark roast, extends its spectrum with an entirely new coffee category that features a more subtle and approachable flavors, the Starbucks Blonde Roast.

Starbucks Blonde Roast has a shorter roast time, drawing out a premium, mellow and soft flavor. This coffee category offers 2 blends --- Starbucks Veranda Blend and Starbucks Willow Blend. The Veranda Blend comes in a soft cocoa and lightly toasted nut taste to it but the Willow blend has a citrus/lemon flavor.

Starbucks Blonde Roast will be available on March 6, 2012 at all Starbucks stores in the Philippines plus a new packaging that is organized by roast --- Blonde, Medium and Dark Roast --- will also be out for the customers to easily find the coffee intensity and taste they personally want. And of course it will never be complete without some new food items :)

Almond Pain Au Chocolat PHP 95
An all butter croissant-filled with sweet almond paste, luscious dark chocolate and sprinkled with flaked almond and sugar icing.

Chocolate Caramel Chip Cake PHP 120/slice & PHP 1000/whole
A moist, light chocolate sponge cake layered with velvety, light chocolate buttercream with riot of caramel chips, crunchy meringue and finished with elegant dark chocolate icing.

Chicken Cordon Bleu Wrap PHP 140
A warm tortilla stuffed with moist and juicy chicken breast filled with sliced ham and cheddar cheese.

Italiano Combo on Focaccia Bread PHP 140
Roast beef, smoked turkey, smoked ham, beef salami, turkey lyoner, honey ham, mozzarella, provolone cheese, jalapeno and Starbuck's signature pesto dressing on focaccia bread.

Spanish Sardines and Feta Turnover returning favorite PHP 95
Buttery, light and flaky pastry turnover filled with authentic gourmet Spanish Sardines sauteed in garlic, onions, dill with a dash of chili flakes to give it a kick.

I must say my favorite out of the bunch would be the Italiano Combo on Focaccia Bread because I just love how the flavor of the different kind of meats mix with the pesto and the cheese. By the way, the Chocolate Caramel Chip Cake is superb!
